Engine failure after maintenance, Boeing 737-800, near Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, 18 February 2015

Status : Closed

After maintenance the aircraft was flown back to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. During climb the flight crew noticed a fuel imbalance in both wing tanks. The balance was recovered following the fuel imbalance checklist procedure. During descent into Schiphol the left engine quit. A normal landing was made with one engine operating.
