Fire after landing, Rotterdam The Hague Airport, 8 July 2013

Status : Closed

After landing on runway 06 smoke and flames were visible near the left-hand main landing gear of the aircraft. Subsequently the fire spread to the left-hand wing. Because this wing is made of wood and linen, a big part of the wing burnt down. The fire was extinguished by the airport fire brigade. The pilot escaped unhurt.

The results of this investigation can be found in the report two cases of wing fire.
