The Dutch Safety Board is paying increasing attention to drones. These aircraft are already regularly used to take pictures from the air or to inspect buildings and infrastructure. In the first quarter of 2023, the Board published its first separate report on a serious incident, a so-called fly-away, involving a drone. The Dutch Safety Board wants to contribute to making drones safer. This can be done by investigating incidents involving drones and learning from them. It is therefore important to report occurrences involving a drone.

More about investigations into aviation incidents can be found in the Quarterly Aviation Report Q1 2023.
