Diversion due to smoke in cockpit, Boeing 737-700, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, 21 September 2012

Status : Closed

Smoke developed in the cockpit of the Boeing 737 which was en route from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Sweden to London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom. Thereupon the crew diverted to Schiphol Airport where they made a safe landing.

The smoke originated from the multi-function control and display unit in the cockpit which is connected to the flight management computer.
