Runway lights hit during take-off, Embraer 120, 18 January 2016

Introduction

The twin-engined Embraer 120 cargo airplane had taken off from runway 24 at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for a flight to London Stansted Airport in the United Kingdom. After landing in the United Kingdom some damage was observed at the fuselage and a propeller of the aircraft. An inspection of the landing runway did not yield particulars. At the airport of departure, Schiphol, it turned out that several runway edge lights on the right hand side of runway 24 were broken. It seems that the airplane hit those lights during take-off.
