Financial annual report

The financial annual report offers an insight into the financial situation at the Dutch Safety Board. The balance sheet, budget and information relating to the Public and Semi-Public Sector Senior Officials (Standard Remuneration) Act (WNT) appear in the various tables below.

The Board adopted the financial statements on 11 March 2021. The complete financial statements (in Dutch) appear here.

The Dutch Safety Board closed the budgetary year 2020 with a positive result of 1,885,606 euros. Factors that played a key role in this result were the tight rein on financial resources, the COVID-19 situation and the COVID-19 investigation. As a result of the current COVID-19 situation, certain costs have not arisen, been reduced or postponed to a later moment. The fact that the year 2020 closed with a positive result does not mean that the need for more appropriate structural financing is a thing of the past; this question remains urgently on the agenda. On the other hand, the positive result does offer the Dutch Safety Board some margin, at least in 2021, to bridge the coming period, pending the outcome of the request for increased structural financing.

The tables appear in the Dutch-language version of the annual report.
